Grout Film has a built-in Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine for generating natural-sounding voiceovers.

How to generate a voiceover

  1. Open the Text-to-Speech tool.
  2. Enter the script you want spoken.
  3. Generate the voiceover.
  4. The audio is ready to place on the A1 track of your timeline.

Running TTS locally

The TTS engine can be downloaded and run locally. Running it on your own machine means voiceover generation works without depending on a connection.

Using the voiceover

Once generated, drag the voiceover onto the A1 track and align it with your video β€” see Adding voiceover and audio to your timeline.
