Accounts & sign-in
Do I need separate accounts for App, Code, and Film? No. One Grout license, tied to one email, signs you into all three apps.
How do I sign in? Grout uses OTP-based sign-in. Enter your email and a one-time password is sent to it β there is no password to remember.
Can I change my email address? No. Your email is permanently linked to your Grout license and cannot be changed. If you have access to the wrong email or need help, contact the distributor you purchased your license from.
Do I have a password I need to manage? No. Grout uses OTP, so there's nothing to change or reset.
Account management
Where do I manage my account, billing, and Merits? On your region-specific distributor web portal β the URL you used when purchasing your license (for example, distributor.grout.app). Account management is not handled inside the apps.
How do I find my distributor portal? Use the link from your purchase confirmation, or contact the distributor you bought your license from. The exact subdomain varies by region.
What can I do on the portal? View plan status and expiry, renew your license, buy Merit top-ups, view and edit your profile, manage devices, view invoices, and sign out.
Billing
Is billing separate for each product? No. One license covers Grout App, Code, and Film.
How do I renew my license? On the distributor portal, use the Renew option.
Where do I find my invoices? In the Invoices section of the distributor portal. For GST-applicable purchases, the invoice is also emailed to you automatically.
How are payments processed? Via a secure regional payment provider (for example, Cashfree in supported regions).
Merits
What are Merits for? They're consumed when you run cloud AI models. Local models and local engines don't use them.
How do I get more Merits? Use the Buy merit top-up option on your distributor portal.
Do offline image models use Merits? No. Only cloud models do.
