You're reading the documentation for Grout Code — the AI-native IDE in the Grout ecosystem. If you were looking for the studio canvas, that's Grout App; for video and audio, that's Grout Film.

What Grout Code is

Grout Code is an AI-native IDE built for whitecoding and agentic development. It's designed to carry you across the whole journey — from a beginner learning a modern stack to a professional pushing code to production.

The five workflows

Everything in Grout Code is organized around five workflows:

  • Plan — generates architectural blueprints and directory structures.
  • Agent — autonomously writes multi-file features and runs terminal commands.
  • Team — ingests massive repositories to trace data flows and explain undocumented logic.
  • Debug — reads terminal stack traces and provides inline red-to-green diff fixes.
  • Ask — an inline mentor that breaks down complex logic step by step.

Who it's for

Computer science students, tech-savvy educators, and developers.
