AI-Memory is your personal context library β€” the foundation that everything else in Grout App is built on. It is where your uploaded materials are stored, organized, and made available to the AI.

Why it matters

A generic chatbot answers from the open internet. Grout App answers from your AI-Memory. That means summaries, explanations, and lesson plans can be generated strictly from the documents you trust β€” your curriculum, your textbooks, your notes β€” rather than unverified web sources.

What you can store

  • PDFs of textbooks and articles

  • Past papers and exam questions

  • Curriculum and syllabus guidelines

  • Clinical or professional case studies

  • Photos of physical books, handwritten notes, and whiteboard sketches

How AI-Memory is used

Once material is in your AI-Memory, you can summon it into any prompt with an @ mention. This locks the AI's response to that specific source. See Context-Locked Prompting with @ mentions to learn how.
